As an Architectural and Engineering Design student, you'll be taking most of your classes in the Ross Technology Center. That center happens to be the most frequently visited center on campus due to its drop-in labs on the lower levels. And then our second floor level has three classrooms that have computers, labs in them, and then two traditional classrooms where we teach classes that don't require computer, hand drafting and print reading classes. You as a student have the option to pick and choose certain electives to put you in the direction you want to go in for the design discipline you're interested in. And mostly those design disciplines are architecture, mechanical, structural, civil design. We have a state-of-the-art automotive facility, which is two levels with very large shops. We have 17 lifts, two alignment racks, lots of brake equipment. In our downstairs shop where we do the powertrain certificate, there's a lot of room for the bench work where we rebuild engines and transmissions. We have a fleet of vehicles that students can work on. Students here at SMCC have access to use 3D printers for their projects within their classrooms or for projects that allow them to explore other aspects of 3D printing through even even other classrooms. Outside of our program. We've developed a new curriculum for electric vehicles and hybrid vehicles. And we have just purchased a lot of tools to start that endeavor, because it's a whole new area of automotive. So, we'll be doing some workforce training as well as for our own matriculated students.
